Facility Management Engineer

Job Summary :

The Facilities Management Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of facility systems and equipment. Key duties include inspecting facilities regularly, ensuring safety and compliance, and supervising maintenance and repairs. The engineer will coordinate daily tasks, respond promptly to issues, manage work orders, and oversee service providers. They will also help control costs, improve energy efficiency, and maintain key systems like HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. This role supports a clean, safe, and functional environment by promptly addressing alarms, handling emergencies, and ensuring all standards are met.

Job Description :

1- Conduct and document regular facilities inspections.

2- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.

3- Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.

4- Determining facility and equipment specifications.

5- Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.

6- Implement best practise process to increase efficiency.

7- Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost effectiveness.

8- Ensure the quality criteria are met.

9- Advice on and monitor energy efficiency.

10- Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures.

11- Provide prompt response to requests and issues from occupants.

12- Applying the rules and regulations of the facility system.

13- supervision on the service providers and raising a monthly report on the performance of the service providers.

14- Maintain all the premises in neat and good working condition at all times, ensuring a safe, clean and functional environment.

15- Ensure problems are resolved in an efficient and timely manner.

16- Receive, manage and process work order requests.

17- Work closely with the administration and facility manager and report to manager on job progress and issues on a daily basis.

18- Organize, coordinate and manage with the supervisor the day-to-day operations of the jobsite.

19- Assist in budget preparation.

20- Arrange for site inspection from time to time to monitor standard of work and completion schedule.
